Community Guidelines
Wahidah’s community spaces — the Dua Circle and the shared leaderboards — exist so that people can ask for dua, support one another and remember Allah together. These guidelines apply to everything you write or show there: a request, an update to it, the name you post under, and your leaderboard name.
Be kind and sincere
Ask sincerely. Respond gently. Treat every person with respect, and assume the person behind a request is having a hard day.
What is not allowed
- Harassment, insults or hate — against any person or group, including because of religion, school of thought, nationality, race, ethnicity, gender or other personal characteristics.
- Sexual or explicit content.
- Threats, or encouraging anyone to harm themselves or others. If you or someone you know is in danger, contact your local emergency services.
- Spam or advertising — selling, promoting, fundraising, links, or repeated posts.
- Someone else’s private information — and, for your own safety, your own: phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, identity numbers, or details that identify a person who has not agreed to be named.
- Impersonation or a misleading identity — pretending to be another person, an organisation, a moderator, or Wahidah itself.
- Abusing the tools — false reports, or reporting or blocking people in order to harass them.
How requests are checked
- Wahidah does not approve each request by hand. Every request is screened automatically, and a request that passes is normally published straight away.
- A request the screening is unsure about may be held for review. It is not public while it is held, and the app tells you so.
- A request that clearly breaks these guidelines may be refused automatically. You can edit it and try again.
- A published request can still be reported, and may be hidden or removed after review.
- Wahidah does not verify what people write. A request is a person’s own words. It is not religious, medical, legal or financial advice, and Wahidah does not confirm that anything in it is true.
- A request and its updates are removed after seven days.
Reporting and blocking
- Report a request or a leaderboard name from the item itself, and tell us why. We look at every report.
- Block a person (in the app: “Hide this person”) to stop seeing their requests and their leaderboard entry. They are not told.
- You can undo a block at any time in Together → Community settings.
What happens when the rules are broken
Content that breaks these guidelines may be hidden or removed, a leaderboard name may be replaced, and an account’s ability to post in the community may be restricted. We may act without notice where that is needed to keep people safe. If you think we got it wrong, write to us.
Your choices
- You choose the name shown with a request and on leaderboards. Your account’s own name, email address and photo are never shown.
- You appear on a leaderboard only if you switch that on. You can switch it off at any time; your dhikr still counts toward the shared total, and nobody else ever sees your count.
- You can remove a request you posted, and you can delete your Wahidah account, which removes your requests, responses and leaderboard entries.
Changes
If these guidelines change in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept them again before you post.
