تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined.

The Palm Fibre
Surah Al-Masad (“The Palm Fibre”) is the 111th chapter of the Quran and has 5 verses. It is classed as Meccan, revealed before the migration to Madinah. It lies in Juz 30.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined.
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him.
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire,
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
and also his wife who carries the fuel,
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck.
