About this surah
Surah At-Tin (“The Fig”) is the 95th chapter of the Quran and has 8 verses. It is classed as Meccan, revealed before the migration to Madinah. It lies in Juz 30.
بِّسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
and by Mount Sinai,
وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ
and by this secure land,
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
We have indeed created man in the best of mould,
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ
then We cast him down as the lowest of the low,
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
except for those who believe and do good deeds -- theirs shall be an unending reward!
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ
What then after this, can make you deny the Last Judgement?
أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
Is not God the greatest of the judges?
